Clinical features of aHUS
Clinical features of aHUS
Patients with aHUS present with a broad range of signs and symptoms which are not specific for aHUS.
These signs and symptoms may reflect the triggering event (e.g. viral illness), features of renal failure (e.g. anuria, hypertension) or extra-renal manifestations (e.g. pancreatitis).
With ~50% of cases having an underlying genetic predisposition a family history of disease is not uncommon.
